I write content that helps you grow in faith, learn well, and lead authentically and skillfully.
Hello and welcome!
I’m glad you’re here. My name is Jake, and I am a writer, learner, and dad of three amazing and beautiful daughters.
Whether you're looking to grow in your faith, engage with writing or learning tips, or simply explore, I’ve created this space as a window into my process and processing. Life isn’t always easy or straightforward, but I believe words can lift and inspire a new perspective, one of hope, joy, and wisdom.
For the last decade, I’ve written and ghost-written broadly for many organizations, including Passion City Church (articles, devotionals, books). I’ve also shared 200+ articles on Medium.com, and have been published in Thought Catalog, Ladders News, and Scatter Global.
You can view more of my writing portfolio here.
I love diner coffee, vanilla ice cream, fantasy novels, cheesy Netflix Christmas Movies, traveling, and long, strategic board games. I prefer hand-written notes with purposeful words and having deep, enriching conversations.
I live in Atlanta, GA, with my wife, Lindsey, who is the bravest and kindest person I know. Together, along with our three girls, we’re trying to visit every National Park in the U.S. [31 of 63 done so far for Lindsey!]
Writing is what helps me make sense of the world inside and around me, and I hope and pray that my writing can help you make sense of your world, too.
